DEKALB REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

I LEFT A GOWN AND POUCH YESTERDAY. HERE ARE 4 GOWNS AND 4 POUCHES THAT I DELIVERED TODAY. THAT'S A GOOD START. MY FRIENDS AT RAINBOW CROCHET ARE HELPING ME MAKE MORE. BETWEEN ALL OF US I THINK WE CAN KEEP THEM FURNISHED WITH BEREAVEMENT ITEMS. THEY WERE VERY HAPPY TO GET THEM. I WISH THAT THERE WAS NEVER A NEED FOR THEM ANYWHERE. BUT THERE IS I KNOW.

  1. Thanks for the first official posts on my blog! :-) Your bereavement garments look so very soft and sweet. How nice to know that they don't have to use paper anymore.

Northeast Alabama -- I have a friend living in Fort Payne. She is moving to Little Rock soon, though.

Hope things with Tim continue to go well.

    Take care.

  3. Kathy, Sadly this is a sad reality that many hospitals face! Its terrible to know that some babies are still being treated like this including the families who just lost a baby. Our charity can help with bereavement items as well as memory boxes. Just have the hospital fill out the online form we hve to receive a donation.
Bless you in what your doing. And God bless you
    Mary G.

  4. Oh, Kathy! I'm sooo glad that you approached the hospital!!!

Btw, will you send me the link to the pattern for the gown that you make. The one I uses is a bit different and I like yours better.
