I MADE THIS BAG TODAY, WENT TO WAL-MART AND USED IT FOR THE FIRST TIME. I ONLY HAVE THE ONE BAG BUT I SAVED TWO PLASTIC BAGS BY USING IT NOW. I HAVE 5 MORE CUT OUT READY TO SEW. I NEED AT LEAST A DOZEN I GUESS. MY BAG HELD 4 - 64 OZ. DRINKS EASY.
I'M JUST USING MATERIAL I HAVE ON HAND SO THEY WON'T MATCH. WELL I DID GET A LITTLE MATERIAL THAT WAS ON SELL TODAY. HERE IS THE FREE PATERN TUTORIAL.
A nice start! I bought the re-usable bags at our store here...only issue is that I always forget to bring them, so I end up buying more of them...I probably have about 60 re-usable bags stacked up in my closet! One day I will crochet some bags as well....one day!
ReplyDeleteI use canvas bags all the time at Safeway, and I get a 5 cent rebate for each bag each time I use them. I didn't think Walmart would allow me to use my own bags. I am going to start taking them in.
ReplyDeleteYour bags look like the perfect size. Nice job
THANKS NANCY. I'VE BEEN USING MINE EVERY WHERE. SO FAR EVERYONE SEEMS OK WITH IT. NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE AROUND HERE ARE USING THEIR OWN BAGS YET. MINE ARE GETTING CHECKED OUT PRETTY GOOD. MOST ARE LOOKING FOR THE BAR CODE. I HAVE TO DO MY LITTLE IT'S MY BAG SPEECH. THEN I GET OH HOW PRETTY.
