THIS IS THE MACHINE THAT MADE THE SOCKS.
DANA CUTS THE SOCK OFF BELOW THE CUFF, SEWS IT TOGETHER, PULLS THE THREAD UP TIGHT AND TIES IT OFF. SHE HAS SOMEONE AT ANOTHER MILL THAT DYES THEM FOR HER. SHE WASHES THEM AND TURNS THE CUFF DOWN.
DANA'S HUSBAND TOLD ME TODAY HE WOULD SAVE THE SOCKS FOR ANYONE THAT WANTED TO MAKE HATS OUT OF THEM, I'LL MAIL THEM TO YOU. I THINK YOU COULD BUY SOME DYE AND DYE THE HATS YOURSELF.
I will be interested in some socks to turn into hats. It will save me alot of time to sew some gowns to go with the hats.

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! I am a member of Heavenly Angels in Need and have been desperately looking for a mill around my neck of the woods. So far I have been unsuccessful. If there are any extras I would love to receive some. I will email you my info. Thanks and God Bless you!

They really do turn out cute! It's a good use for a sock that would be discarded otherwise.
