WELL THIS IS MY NEW HOLE PUNCHER. I DID USE A SMALL PAIR OF SCISSORS. THIS IS A LOT BETTER. IT'S A SMALL ICE PICK . WE FOUND IT AT MY IN-LAWS WHEN WE WERE GOING THROUGH THEIR THINGS. I CAN JUST SEE MY MOTHER-IN-LAW USING IT IN ONE OF THOSE OLD FREEZERS BEFORE THEY BECAME SELF DEFROSTING. I THINK OF THEM EVERY TIME I USE IT.
What a very good idea - using the ice pick. I haven't seen one that small in many years. Your blog is so peaceful and beautiful. Thanks for sharing your talents with us Kathy,

THANKS BEV. I LOVE BEV'S COUNTRY COTTAGE TO. I DON'T SEE HOW YOU AND EVERYONE ELSE MAKE UP SO MANY PATTERNS. BUT THANKS FOR DOING IT.
ReplyDeleteKathy is this your burial pouch that you are punching holes in? Is there a way to fold the second washcloth instead of cutting it? I am not a sewer and I am trying to make it easier for me to do. Where did you learn about putting a lining into the burial gowns? I know one lady said that she put a liner and a plastic liner in the ones that she did. I am sure that Huntsville Hospital loves you cause you help them out so much. Hope Tim is doing well and don't get crocheter's cramps in your hands we need your help.

HEY BRENDA,
ReplyDeleteYES THIS IS MY BURIAL POUCH. I MADE ONE THE WAY YOU ASKED ME ABOUT. IT TURNED OUT RATHER WELL. THANKS. I FOUND THAT OUT HERE ABOUT THE LINERS. BEV HAS A LOT OF PATTERNS AT BEV' COUNTRY COTTAGE YOU CAN CHECK OUT. I THINK SHE ALSO MENTIONS ABOUT THE PLASTIC LINER. I THOUGHT ABOUT PUTTING A PIECE OF WHITE GARBAGE BAG IN BETWEEN THE FOLDED WASHCLOTH. WHAT DO YOU THINK?
MY HANDS DID HURT A LOT. IT HAD ME A LITTLE WORRIED. I JUST BACKED OFF A BIT AND ALL SEEMS BETTER NOW.
