 MAT FOR THE HOMELESS

 This is my first plastic mat. I made it to wide and it's not that straight. It took two weeks to make it.  I've got another one started that is not as wide.

I still need to get this afghan made as well. I need to make some hats to go with the mats. My friend's church will be handing out more things for the homeless around the middle of Feb. and again in March. She is helping me make the plarn so I can hopefully make this mat  faster. The mat makes #14 donations for the year.

The end of 2016

Since Tim passed away on December 11, 2014 I've gone through a lot changes. It's been hard trying to figure out how to live without him. Trying to figure out who I am anymore. I still miss him so much, he was my soulmate. I can go out to eat by myself now but I do still cry if it's a place he liked. I've started crocheting again. I can't make the preemie bereavement sets yet, but I can make hats for the homeless and cancer hats. I can go on little hikes by myself and take short drives. I was never afraid when Tim was alive but that changed. About the time I think I might be getting a little better I find myself in my dark place. But I'm going to try really hard to find a happy place in 2017. That's why I'm going to try to post here and hope I  can find something good to share.  I will find good in all things.
