I'M NOT SURE WHERE THIS LITTLE LAPGHAN WILL BE GOING. I NAMED IT PINE TREES AND AUTUMN LEAVES.
I'M NOT SURE WHAT I'M GOING TO DO WITH THE PUMPKIN EITHER. I JUST KNOW IT WILL BE COOKED.
FOR YOU ROSIE
UPDATE 10-23-12
SIZE I HOOK WW YARN
FOR THIS LAPGHAN I CHAINED 116. THEN I WORKED A DC IN THE 3RD CHAIN FROM THE HOOK AND IN EACH CHAIN ACROSS. CHANGE COLOR CHAIN 2 AND TURN.
ROW 2: DC IN EACH CHAIN ACROSS. CHANGE COLOR. CH 2 AND TURN.
I USED HUNTER GREEN FOR MY MAIN COLOR AND USED A DIFFERENT COLOR EACH TIME OF LEFT OVER BALLS OF YARN I WAS TRYING TO USE UP.
WHEN CHANGING COLORS IN DC LEAVE THE LAST TWO LOOPS OF YARN ON YOUR HOOK THEN YARN OVER WITH NEW YARN AND PULL LAST TWO LOOPS OFF. THEN CROCHET OVER ENDS AS YOU CROCHET.
WHEN I GOT TO SIZE I WANTED I SC AROUND ALL OFF THE AFGHAN AND SL ST TO FIRST SC.
I LEFT THIS ONE WITH A SIMPLE EDGING BECAUSE IT MAY GO TO A MAN.
YOU CAN ADD MORE CHAINS AT THE BEGINNING TO MAKE IT BIGGER AND ADD MORE ROWS. YOU CAN CHANGE THE HOOK SIZE TO MAKE IT A DIFFERENT SIZE. THIS PATTERN IS VERY FORGIVING SO YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT.
GOOD LUCK!
THIS IS A SIMPLE PATTERN AND I'M SURE I'M NOT THE FIRST TO DO THIS. IT'S JUST SOMETHING I CAME UP WITH FOR CHARITY BECAUSE IT'S SIMPLE AND QUICK. YOU CAN CHANGE THE COLORS AROUND AND MAKE IT LOOK DIFFERENT EVERY TIME.

Hmmm...or should I say yummm. I found a 3 ingrediant recipe using pumpkin the other day. That little one of yours ought to be just the right size I reckon.
ReplyDelete- Yellow cake mix
- Small can of Pure Pumpkin Puree
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice Mix
Mix it up and Dump it in a lined muffin tin (makes 12) and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350*.
The picture looks REALLY GOOD!

ReplyDeletethank you tracy!
DeleteTHANK YOU TRACY FOR THE RECIPE. I WILL BE MAKING IT. LOVE YOUR BLOG AND HAPPY CROCHETING.
ReplyDeleteKathy is this made with de in each row. Do you have the pattern?
ReplyDeleteI am making the wheelchair lapghan. I just joined a charity named "Links" and I am looking for things to maake for them.
You have another lapghan in your archives made with simply soft
burgandy or red and looks like shells. Do you have the pattern for that one?
You do such beautiful work and such a charitable person.
Thank you,
God Bless
What is the finished size of this lapghan. I've been asked to make 3' x 4' lapghans specifically and need to know if this pattern is set for that size, particularly for the width.
ReplyDeleteTHIS ONE IS ABOUT 2'X3'. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS JUST KEEP ADDING MORE ROWS TO GET THE 3'X4' THAT YOU NEED. HAPPY CROCHETING.
Deleteit would be nice to be able to read pattern but color of words, make it dang near impossible without eyestrain.
ReplyDeleteEyestrain....wanted to read pattern but in red on black it is 1 big blur.....just for future information
ReplyDeleteSORRY I CHANGED
DeleteI work in a health/ rehab in housekeeping. I was wanting to make all of the patient there a wheelchair wrap. I think this one is just what I need with the exception of making it a 3x4. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and suitable for a gentleman. Not girly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful w/c wrap! I love the pattern! Just what I have been looking for! Thankyou SO much!
