LAPGHAN

THESE SQUARES WERE BOUGHT AT AN ESTATE SALE ALONG WITH YARN, NEEDLES AND HOOKS.

THE ONLY YARN I HAD TO MATCH WAS A SHADE LIGHTER BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD TOGETHER. THE EDGING YARN ALSO BELONGED TO SOMEONE THAT HAD PASSED ON. BETWEEN THE THREE OF US WE MADE A LAPGHAN THAT WILL GO TO THE NURSING HOME TO HELP SOMEONE STAY A LITTLE WARMER. I LIKE TO THINK THAT THEY ARE BOTH HAPPY WITH THE WAY IT TURNED OUT.
I NOTICED THAT SHE MADE HER GRANNY SQUARES WITH GROUPS OF TWO DC WHERE I USE GROUPS OF THREE DC.

  2. Kathy, you are so talented. That is so pretty. I know someone will enjoy the warmth and love that it brings.

  3. Hi, Kathy! It's nice to meet you, also. You asked if I had taught Hunter to crochet yet. Well, actually my mother-in-law taught her last Thanksgiving, at the same time she taught me. Hunter hasn't been quite as "addicted" to it as I have, but she does a pretty nice job when she concentrates on it. If you look further down in my blog at an earlier post, I have one in there with pictures of her, holding up her crocheted "rainbow". Usually, she's my tester, or mannequin, so to speak, to see how my projects will fit. And, she's always happy to take anything I want to make for her.
