I'VE BEEN BUSY GETTING A GROOMING BUSINESS STARTED. THIS IS YOSHIE MY FIRST DOG, WELL IF YOU DON'T COUNT THE BATHS COCOA HAS HAD.
THIS IS THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. IT WAS AN OLD STORAGE ROOM AND MY HUSBANDS SHOP. WE ADDED THE PORCH AND WALLS ON THE INSIDE. IT'S ALL MADE OUT OF THE TREES WE CUT. LOTS OF WORK. WE STILL HAVE A LOT TO DO. WE HAVE MY MOTHER-IN-LAWS OLD ROCKER, IT NEEDS PAINTING, THE DOOR NEEDS TAKEN OFF AND PAINTED AND NEW BLINDS OR CURTAINS MADE, THE CEILING AND FLOOR NEEDS PAINTED, NEW STEPS AND RAILING WILL BE MADE FROM CEDER LOGS, AND A TON OF OTHER THINGS NEED DOING.
THIS IS THE INSIDE. I WANTED A HALF WALL TO DIVIDE THE WAITING ROOM AND GROOMING AREA. TIM PUT A TWO INCH THICK BOARD ON TOP OF IT WITH SHELVES ON MY SIDE. I LOVE IT. HE STILL NEEDS TO MAKE A PICKET FENCE GATE IN CASE A DOG GETS AWAY FROM ME IT WON'T GET OUT OF THE BUILDING, FOR NOW IT'S A BABY GATE.
THIS IS THE TEMPORARY WAITING AREA. IT WILL BE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROOM LATER, IT STILL HAS A FREEZER IN IT NOW.
NOTHING FANCY BUT I LOVE IT. I HAD TO DIG THE WATER LINE, IT TOOK 4 DAYS AND THEN MY YOUNGEST SON CAME HOME AND HE FINISHED IT FOR ME. THANK YOU LORD. TIM DIDN'T LET ME DO VERY MUCH AT FIRST BUT I THINK HE GOT TIRED BECAUSE HE LET ME NAIL SOME ON THE LAST WALL THEN THE BAR AND CAN YOU BELIEVE HE CUT THE BOARDS FOR THE PORCH AND I NAILED THEM ALL DOWN. I LIKE MY HAMMER.
THE REASON WE'RE DOING THIS IS BECAUSE THE PLACE WHERE TIM WORKS WILL CLOSE IN JUNE. THEY TOLD THEM AROUND CHRISTMAS, I DIDN'T WANT TO SAY ANYTHING BACK THEN. I'VE HAD FAITH THAT IT WOULD WORK OUT. THE ONLY THING WE'VE HAD TO BUY HAS BEEN NAILS , PLUMBING STUFF AND PAINT. THE CABINETS, WATER HEATER, GAS HEATER, MATERIAL FOR RECOVERING THE CHAIRS, CURTAINS, CHAIRS,WELL TONS OF OTHER STUFF HAVE ALL BEEN GAVE TO ME. I DID HAVE TO BUY MY GROOMING THINGS WHICH HAVE PAID FOR THEMSELVES, BEEN GOING TO THE HOMES OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY GROOMING. THIS HAS TO BE WHAT GOD WANTS ME TO DO.
THE WOOD WAS GREEN WHEN WE NAILED IT UP SO I HAVE TO SPRAY IT DOWN WITH BLEACH WATER AND SCRUB IT WITH A BRUSH WHEN THE MILDEW STARTS TO GROW.
WE HAVE A BIG FAN BLOWING ON IT NOW , HOPE IT DRIES OUT SOON.
WELL THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, MY BLEACH BOTTLE IS CALLING ME.
Thank goodness you're ok!!! I've beenw worried....gotta run and get Hannah off the bus (early release day) so I'll email more later.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you are starting a grooming business, although I know you wish it would be for a different reason. I love your building and setup. The paw print fabric you picked for the chairs is adorable. Always trust in God.
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL! LOVE IT!! I'm so excited for you!! {{HUGS}}
ReplyDeleteYour place looks great! What a lot of hard work you all have done, and yes, I believe the Lord leads us to do things. He lead me into the teaching field when I didn't want to go there and it was a total blessing for me.I like your cute first client!
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Sarita
Kathy it all looks absolutely SUPERB and Yoshie is one very smart dog, you've done a great job grooming him (or her). I wish you and Tim a lot of happiness and every success with your new business.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs!
The wood is beautiful! Love all that you have done and wish you the best.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little dog ! We recently become dog ownwers after having a cat for many years, I just love spending time with our dog he is so friendly.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT. I'M GOING TO HANG THE SIGN UP BY MONDAY.
ReplyDeleteHI,
ReplyDeleteMy husband lost his job when the owners of the company he worked for retired. So we discussed the situationand he decided to go slef employed. That was over a year ago and so far so good. There have been a few lean months but it has also improved our ulity of family life because he can do the school run when i can not. he can help with school trips etc. (I am a teacher and my time off is restricted and my hours clash with Sophie's school hours. So I hope that it all goes well for you with this new venture and that you have the same success that we have been very fortunate to have. As you say, maybe it was meant to be!
