I CHANGED TO SIZE 8 CIRCULAR NEEDLES. THIS IS A LOT BETTER, THANKS FOR THE ADVICE TWYLA. I'M STILL LOSING MY STITCHES JUST NOT AS BAD, THE CORNERS AT THE BOTTOM ARE STILL NOT RIGHT AND I HAVE A LOT OF LOSE STITCHES IN BETWEEN. I'VE NOT FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET MY LOOPS BACK ON THE NEEDLE WHEN ONE FALLS OFF AFTER I'VE NEARLY GOT IT ON THE OTHER NEEDLE. IT JUST TAKES PRACTICE I KNOW. I JUST HATE SEEING IT LOOK BAD SO IT'S TIME TO TAKE THIS OUT AND SEE IF I DO BETTER THE NEXT TIME. SO FAR I LEARN SOMETHING EVERY TIME.
I know if you keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it.
ReplyDeleteKathy you're doing really well, your edges are nice and straight.
ReplyDeleteI remember the scarf I made when I first learned to knit (I was about seven years old). It started out wide then went narrow then got wide again. LOL
THANKS TRACY. I WANT THOSE SOCKS REALLY BAD.
ReplyDeleteYOU LEARNED TO KNIT AT THE AGE OF SEVEN? YOU HAVE TO HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF THE PERSON THAT TOUGHT YOU HOW.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy... I find that learning how to knit is one of the most challanging things I have done. I have done serious stain glass work and it wasn't half as difficult as learning how to knit. But theres something very peaceful about knitting once you have the hang of it. Also, I want to thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. Life goes on and I'll miss my little Gracie but she is in a better place. Thanks for caring!
